New Samsung foldables are now available in the Czech Republic. Galaxy Z Fold8 immediately became a hit

The long wait is over. Samsung has launched the official sale of three new foldables in the Czech Republic, and you can get them right away – from the stylish Flip8 clamshell to the brand new Fold8 with a wider display, which, according to the manufacturer, generated the strongest pre-orders in the history of the Galaxy Z series.

Foldable phones are gradually ceasing to be perceived as complete exotics, and this year the South Korean company tried to take it even further – building the new generation around a model designed to put a foldable into the pocket of even an ordinary user. The success of this gamble was already hinted at by the pre-order wave, which was talked about even before Samsung itself boasted about it. Now, the new Galaxy Z series is officially on sale in our country.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8: a new and perhaps more practical format

The star of this year’s series is the brand new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. The manufacturer opted for an unprecedented shape and a more natural aspect ratio, making reading, watching videos, and typing more comfortable on both the outer and inner displays. When unfolded, it offers a 7.6″ AMOLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate, powered by the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and features a dual 50Mpx camera setup (main and ultrawide) on the back. The basic variant with 256 GB of storage starts at 48,990 CZK.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: a foldable for the most demanding users

Those who want the maximum from a foldable phone will opt for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra – Samsung’s very first foldable to bear this more luxurious moniker. In practice, however, it is simply another “classic” model of the Galaxy Z Fold series, and thus specifically the successor to last year’s Z Fold7. It targets the most demanding users and offers an 8″ inner display, a 200Mpx main camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It also represents the most expensive item in the offering: the 256GB storage variant will cost 53,990 CZK.

Galaxy Z Flip8: the thinnest clamshell Samsung has ever made

If you don’t crave a pocket-sized tablet but are enticed by the idea of the most compact phone possible, then there’s the Galaxy Z Flip8. This device, with the dimensions of a regular smartphone, can be folded in half thanks to its hinge, taking up minimal space. For this year’s generation, Samsung again highlights the slimmed-down design and continues to build on quick interactions via the large and elegant outer display. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an Exynos 2600 chip, and it’s the most affordable foldable in the series – you can buy it in stock at Alza for 31,990 CZK. New format garnered interest

Interest in the new products was extraordinary, according to Samsung. The company states that the Galaxy Z series became the most pre-ordered generation in history and that it surpassed the previous record in Europe by more than 17 percent. The new Fold8 is credited with the largest share: it alone accounted for approximately 41 percent of all pre-orders for the series, and the combination of Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra reportedly jumped by 70 percent year-on-year compared to last year’s Fold7.

The price can be further reduced by trading in an old phone. Samsung is now adding a bonus of 5,000 CZK for the Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra, and 2,500 CZK for the Flip8, while owners of an older Galaxy Z series foldable can get up to 10,000 CZK.
