The Galaxy Fit3 arrived on the market in February 2024, and more than two and a half years have passed since then. Its successor has now appeared in official renders, from all sides. The editorial team of Notebookcheck disassembled one of Samsung’s applications and extracted official 360-degree renders of the Galaxy Fit4 band from it. Those who hoped for a big leap in design will likely be disappointed.

Galaxy Fit4 is expected to arrive in black, white, and mint

According to Notebookcheck, the band is expected to offer three color variants: black with a dark gray frame, and white and light blue with a silver frame. The light blue, referred to as mint in the descriptions, is new. The strap has more of a grayish-green, pastel shade, and the default watch face matches it in color. It will replace the rose gold variant offered by the Galaxy Fit3.

Otherwise, not much is changing. The display will remain rectangular with rounded corners, a single button is located on the right side, and the band will be worn on a silicone strap. At first glance, you would hardly distinguish the new model from the Galaxy Fit3, whose official images leaked even before its introduction.

GPS and NFC are not yet in sight

We’ve known that Galaxy Fit4 exists since August. The band, designated SM-R391, then passed US FCC certification. According to Notebookcheck, it implies that it will offer Bluetooth 5.4 instead of version 5.3 found in its predecessor. Earlier documentation also mentions the Goodix GH3036 sensor, which is intended to measure heart rate and track sleep.

Those who expected Samsung to finally add its own GPS or band payment don’t have much reason for optimism yet. None of the certification reports or earlier leaks mention GPS or NFC. This alone proves nothing, but the Galaxy Fit4 could thus remain without two features that some competitors already offer.

Samsung has not yet revealed the price or launch date. For reference: The Galaxy Fit3 can currently be purchased in the Czech Republic for approximately 900 to 1,300 CZK.

Would you buy the Galaxy Fit4, even if it looks almost identical to its predecessor?
