You rarely see Fujifilms on sale – the brand is so in demand that new models are often hard to find. AlzaPlus+ members can now buy the X-E5 for 31,192 CZK instead of 38,990 CZK. For that price, you get a compact camera with a 40.2Mpx APS-C sensor, in-sensor stabilization, and a design that looks like a 1960s analog Leica.

👍 Get it if you want to shoot on the street and in cafes with a camera that doesn’t look like a professional cannon but shoots like one.
🤔 Hesitate if you shoot sports or birds – the viewfinder with 2.36 Mpx and 20 fps is weaker for action than on more expensive models.
💰 Price: 31,192 CZK. Fujifilm practically never gives discounts, this is an exception.

Film Simulations: Why Fujifilm isn’t copied

The main reason people buy Fujifilm isn’t megapixels, but film simulations – color profiles based on legendary films like Velvia or Classic Chrome, which look good straight out of the camera, without computer editing. The X-E5 is the first to feature a dedicated lever on the top for these, allowing you to change the photo’s look with a single flick of your finger. In addition, it has a 40Mpx sensor for large crops, in-body stabilization (IBIS) for sharp handheld photos in low light, autofocus with AI detection, and video up to 6.2K. The entire body weighs only 400 grams and fits into a handbag.

Warning: lens not included

A crucial detail for your budget – this is the body only, without a lens. Alza also offers a variant with a fixed 23mm glass lens for 44,990 CZK, which is a more reasonable path for a beginner; those who already own a Fujifilm X-mount lens will save the most here. Also, keep in mind that the X-E5 is a camera for reportage, street, and portraits, not for sports – anyone shooting football should look at more expensive models with a more powerful viewfinder. However, for anyone who wants to shoot with joy and without editing, this is one of the best compact cameras you can get for thirty thousand.

Do you still shoot with a “camera,” or is a phone enough for you today?
